Do you have a goal?
It could be a weight-loss goal,
a fitness goal,
or maybe even a goal to be free from medication that’s currently controlling a health condition.
In fact, it doesn’t even have to be health-related.
It may be a career goal, an educational goal, a contribution goal…anything!
If you don’t then this message today is of no use to you,
so I bid you well…enjoy the rest of your day :)
If you do, then I want to help you reach it…whatever it is.
A crucial factor in goal-setting is gaining clarity and real focus around the goal itself.
Without that, you are much less likely to reach it.
So how well are you currently connected to your goal?
Is it clear as a bell in your mind?
You know EXACTLY what you want, by when and how to get there?
Or is it a bit fuzzy?
Does it fade in and out?
Does it change from time to time depending on how you feel?
If that’s the case, I’m going to share with you 5 really key questions
that I URGE you to write down (with answers) and keep to-hand until your goal is reached.
Having clarity around a goal is crucial because it helps us embed it in our subconscious.
Our subconscious is unbelievably powerful and if we plant a thought, a goal or direction into it firmly,
you’ll be surprised just what happens in to order to make that thought, direction, goal a reality…
…both inside us and in our environment.
See here we are…the 5 questions to help you gain clarity around any goal that’s important to you both now and at any time in your future:
#1) WHY is it important to YOU to reach your goal?
Not anybody else…why is it important to YOU? And dig down beyond the superficial answer. If you want to lose weight so that you can fit into different clothes for example, why is THAT important? Keep digging to find YOUR true reason for wanting to accomplish your goal.
#2) Why is it important for you to reach your goal NOW or at the time you’ve set?
You could have already reached it or you could reach it 5 years from now, so why NOW? What is it about doing it NOW that’s important to you?
#3) WHAT in your life needs to change in order for you to reach your goal?
Now this may be a very short or a very long list…or anything in between. But do write down EVERYTHING that needs to happen in order for your goal to be reached.
#4) Without doubt, THE most important question…do you BELIEVE your goal is attainable?
Truly, do you believe it will happen? If you don’t, PLEASE consider amending it to a believable one.
It doesn’t mean to say believable has to be easy, it can still be very challenging but you MUST believe it’s possible. If you don’t, you are highly likely to fail and damage your confidence in the process, making future attempts at other goals much, much harder.
#5) How will you FEEL when you reach your goal? Have a real brain dump here…how will you feel? Where will you be? Who will you be with? How will your life have changed? Will those around you be affected…if so, how? How will you feel about yourself and your achievement? Really propel yourself forward to truly FEEL what your life will be like when that goal is reached.
If you’re serious about reaching your goal, I urge you to answer these questions honestly and in detail. And then to keep the answers close to you as you work through the challenges that your goal will present.
